专家评论

David Akers (1975/88)

Despite the fact that the number of auction appearances of the 1825 is comparable to that for the 1821, 1826, and 1827, and significantly less than for the 1824/1, it has been my experience that the 1825 is the most common date of this rare type, particularly in choice condition. I have seen a number of choice uncirculated examples, more than I have of any other date. As is typical of this type, most 1825's are weakly struck on the head of Liberty, but a small number do exist that are boldly struck.
