1829 C1 Classic Head half cent, the only variety, R1. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as MS63BN, and this is a GORGEOUS example with bold even luster on both sides. Nice mixture of golden and chestnut brown color, with a hint of darker carbon toning on the reverse at OF. Absolutely no idea why CAC did not sticker this one because it's certainly above average in my eyes. Very attractive and also a sharp early die state M1.0 with bold denticles and sharp spine through C in CENT. Ex-Greg Heim 2011; Furnace Run Collection.
