1834 C1 Classic Head half cent, R1. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as MS65BN, and it is an attractive mixture of peanut butter brown and darker streaks of chocolate, mostly on the obverse. Well-struck and mark-free, certainly deserving of the MS65BN grade by PCGS. Well-struck from early dies, M1.0, with full star centers, bold denticles, and no clash marks. Purchased on Ebay in 2012; Furnace Run collection.
