PCGS #11352 is used for the Restrikes of the 1838 Gobrecht Dollar. This is to separate them from the Original 1838 Gobrecht Dollars which Judd combined with the Restrikes under his number J-84. It's an important distinction because the Originals are exceedingly rare, with only two known. Not unexpectedly, the Restrikes are less rare, with perhaps 15-20 survivors.
We know that at least one 1838 Gobrecht Dollar was created in 1859 or later because it was struck over a Seated Liberty Dollar and clear remnants of the 1859 date can be seen in the field to the right of the 1838 date!
Both the Originals and the Restrikes have reeded edges. They also both come with similar die alignments (the orientation of the obverse die relative to the reverse die), thus die states are used to separate them.
