1851 C1 Braided Hair half cent, the only variety, R1. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as MS65BN and CAC-certified as CHOICE for the assigned grade! BOOM! That is my description for this coin - GORGEOUS color and eye appeal with overflowing mint luster on both sides mixed with extremely attractive maroon and iridescent blue. An extremely attractive braided hair half cent, and I can't imagine a more attractive coin for the date and grade.
