It is beautiful example with very few marks and outstanding eye appeal. The surfaces are very frosty. The obverse style of 1856 are dies that were impressed with the same eagle and lettering style as the 1856 Flying Eagles. About 12 dies were made, but only 5 were dated 1856. The rest were held over and dated 1857. This is design difference that should be collected as part of the regular date set.
