The 1858-O Half Dime is the most common of the O-Mint Half Dimes, just edging out the 1860-O.  Mint State examples are fairly common, with MS-63 and MS-64 being the most frequently encountered grades.  PCGS has certified only a dozen MS65, four MS-66s, one MS66+, and none finer.

Most of the top examples are well struck, but virtually all show slight weakness on the reverse denticles from 12:30 to 2:00.  Overall, however, the 1858-O Half Dime is a fine product from the New Orleans Mint.
