1860-S G $1 AU55 PCGS 35061311 New July 1! Type 3 Indian Princess, Low Mintage San Francisco Date, Fully Struck, Light Copper-Gold, Minimal Wear, LaSalle Collection. The 1860-S date has a tiny mintage of only 13,000 pieces and is scarce in all grades. GFRC is pleased to offer a PCGS AU55 example from the LaSalle Collection. This lovely example has been freshly graded and is housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 holder. Strike is fully executed with deeply impressed hair curls, bonnet details, and lower reverse wreath being completely formed. This Type 3 Indian Princess has light copper-gold coloring and is strictly original.

Despite the lower mintage, this date is not nearly as scarce as the 1859-S, particularly in the higher grades. Choice uncirculated examples, although scarce, are available from time to time and I have seen a fair number that would qualify as gems.
