Snow 1 1861, 61/61 (s). Hattip Rick Snows attribution guide Obv. 4: (LH) Slight repunching visible at the base of 61. Broken ES hub. Light die file marks from the denticles from 6:30 to 7:30. Rev. D: Small rough area between shield and the rim at 12:00. Die flaws out of the denticles at 9:00. Attributed to: Larry Steve Popular due to the repunching and broken ES. Some collectors, as a challenge try to put together year sets of the broken ES dies, which are found on every year of the Rounded Bust design. {64, 64}

The 1861 re-punched date Indian Cent appears to be somewhat difficult to locate as few public sales have been available for this variety. The main pick up points for this variety are on the last 1 digit on the date. The last 1 digit has re-punching to the left of the top of the 1's  serif. Underneath the1 crossbar, there is also re-punching evident which can be easily discerned with the naked eye.
