As a business strike, the 1865 is similar in overall rarity to the 1864, perhaps just a little less rare. The typical 1865 is VF or EF with prooflike or semi-prooflike surfaces. The Flanagan piece was graded uncirculated but was further described as having "hairline, field scratches" so it was probably not a true mint state piece.PCGS #
