EEPS. CAC. PDS: (12: 4,4,4). Extremely rare variety. How many are known (that are actually the S-4)? A few at best. This example has nice eye appeal, with more than a bit of RD traces remaining. All the diagnostics of a “true” S-4 are there, with pronounced date doubling at the tops of all 4 digits & the unusual die crack on the right side reverse. The somewhat weak LIBERTY is further evidence. “Only” 1* in Rick Snow’s definitive guidebook? I’m calling for a review with a boost to 3*! The pic in the guidebook is in b&w - one of the few, attesting to the fact there are very few known.
