The 1874 Proof Cent has one of the lower mintages in the Proof Indian Cent series. Most examples that still survive are in PR64 condition.
Brown: In Brown most examples that survive are in PR63 condition. The highest example known with the brown color designation is in PR66 with none being finer (in brown only).
Red Brown: In Red Brown most examples that still survive are in PR64 Red Brown condition and probably about 150-250 examples exist in the grade. The highest known example in Red Brown is in grade PR67 with one lone example that has survived and none being finer.
Red: In Proof Red they are scarce with no more than 100 coins known with complete Red surfaces. Out of the ones known in Red most of them fall under the MS64 Red grade. The highest grade that Red coins are known for this date are in PR66 condition, with probably no more than ten examples that survive and none being finer.
