专家评论

David Akers (1975/88)

This typically bluntly struck date is very rare in any condition and, despite the fact that its mintage is substantially greater than for any other Eagle from this Mint during the 1870's, the 1874-CC is only marginally less rare than the 1871-CC and 1877-CC. From the standpoint of condition rarity, it is possibly even rarer than the 1877-CC, which for some unknown reason seems to show up in a little better condition than the others.
