The clash was put on the die before the hub was impressed. It was blank when someone clanged together a finished die onto the conical face of the blank die. The subsequent hubbing pushed the design and the clash into the die together. This is one of the top examples of this popular variety (pop 3/0). It is full RD & very lustrous with exceptional eye appeal!
