1883-O $1, PL MS64 PCGS号7147

The frosty face of Liberty on this 1883-O is unparalleled in its excellence and a dream for any collector. The deep mirror are accented with a gorgeous blue toning that is present on the obverse and reverse of the coin. On the obverse at 10 to 1 o-clock you can clearly see a ring of rainbow toning. As a matter of fact, I would daresay that the MS64 PL grade that this 1883-O received is a lowball grade. If you observe the coin from a technical standpoint that grade may be warranted or at least could go at a 64+, but from an eye appeal standpoint this coin could surely reach a MS65 PL grade at PCGS or NGC. Even the reverse has its own unique peripheral toning that is only brought full circle by the eagle with full feathers ablaze. This coin, is a truly spectacular specimen and an excellent find for such a solid date.
