The 1898 Quarter Dollar is a great date among the Barber series.  It is common, it often comes nice, and there are ample supplies of Mint State examples in a variety of grades.  The most frequent Mint State grade is MS63, followed by MS62, then MS64.  Gem examples are slightly less common, but even the populations in MS65 and MS65 are large enough to keep prices at a reasonable level.  MS67 examples become quite rare and they are exceeded only by a couple of MS67+'s and a single PCGS MS68.  At these upper levels, the eye appeal on these coins is extraordinary.
