The strike is usually slightly weak although quantities of fully struck as well as flat strikes can be encountered because of the large mintage of 3,720,000 coins. Many hundreds of original mint bags were released by the Treasury in 1962-64 making the 1904-O the most available BU O mint after the 1885-O. Quite a few miner die varieties exist but none are particularly significant. Super Clashed Die 28A is also known for this date and mint which is in the Top 50 CD's. DMPL and PL's are fairly available but finding one with cameo contrast can be challenging.
