Great Collections - These were minted in greater numbers than the VDB, 72 to 27 million according to the mint, yet this 1909 'plain' is the harder one to find. Population numbers bare this out and the troubles I encountered trying to find a pleasing example were more than enough proof that this is true, After buying and then selling in three previous transactions I can recall (and there may even be more), I finally found this one in a Great Collections Sunday night auction. I found this example to be more than acceptable and I'm really quite happy with finally finding one this nice. WUV 12/17
