Heritage 1/5/11 Well. What is there to say? Obvious major hits and dings on the obverse. Frankly I don't understand the grade on this one. Maybe someone can drop me a note regarding the Certification number that stars at 900 - Is this a show coin? Sure am glad that I got it for 64RD money. thought.... I wish dates of encapsulation were public knowledge....

The 1909 V.D.B. Lincoln cent was highly hoarded and preserved in its' first year of issue. Consequently, many 1909 V.D.B. Lincoln cents survive in immaculate condition today.Varieties: There are at least two different doubled dies known for this year. Type 1 is the most prominent variety of the two. The doubling is strongest on the date and on the word, Liberty.
