The 1911 Dime is one of the most plentiful dates in the Barber Dime series.  Only the first-year-of-issue 1892 and the last-year-of-issue 1916 are more common.  Hundreds of Mint State 1911 Dimes exist in MS63, MS64, and MS65.  At the top end, the 1911 Dime is one of only two dates in the series that are represented by a PCGS MS68+ example.  Check out the amazing color on the example shown above.  This is one of the most artistic combinations of extreme eye appeal and surface perfection that one is likely to find on a Barber coin of any denomination.  Not surprisingly, this example holds the price record for a 1911 Dime.
