A miraculous GEM survivor from the lowest mintage of the series. Only 425 Proofs were struck for collectors, and the present beauty is truly a delight to behold. Phenomenal multicolored toning graces both sides of this high end, sexy GEM. Bold, flashing mirrors enliven the bold colors. Dominated by blue, gold, and orange hues that meld with some violet and deeper red patina the stunning visual allure is quite seductive. Cameo frost like seen under the toning. The 1914 Proof Barber Dime has the lowest mintage in the series. Several other dates in the series also have similar mintage figures, therefore, the 1914 Proof trades at about the same price as most other dates up to about PR65 condition. In PR66 itis much scarcer and brings a significantly higher premium than most other dates in the series. PR67 examples are seldom seen in the marketplace and it can be a few years before one appears at auction. In PR68 condition they are very few known.
