1922 $1 Peace Tripled Leaves VAM-5 MS63 PCGS. A Top 50 Variety. Won at public auction 9/16/2021 for $100 bid + 20% commission + S&H = $127.97. The same auction also featured another identical graded coin, which sold for slightly higher. This was the cheaper of the two for sale that day. PCGS retail at time of purchase was $175, but similar sold $153 at eBay in 02/2021. Other similar coins have sold at Heritage ranging in price from $106 (in 12/2013) up to $176 (in 01/2013). We got it for Connor at fair market price. This VAM die variety is characterized by doubling of the leaves on the reverse. Total PCGS population for all grades is only 81 (including 19 MS64, 20 MS63) as of date of purchase.
