1923 Peace Dollar PCGS MS63 VAM-1B Extra Hair, "Top-50" VAM die variety. The die error (die crack) caused an extra blob of "hair" on the back top of Liberty's neck to be present. Because it's so easy to spot in circulation, this is not a rare variety (total population of 181 as of 6/13/2021). Connor noted they typically sell between $95-120, but in the past sold for more. Seller noted "some toning and milky hazing" (resembling "snot" in front of Liberty's nose). However, Connor noted the "snot" doesn't look as prominent on other photos taken of the same coin in the past when it was sold at Heritage Aug 14, 2011 (for $253) and June 26, 2019 (for $174). Dealer was originally asking $105 + $2.99 shipping at eBay as a “buy-it-now,” but accepted our private offer for $98 total ($95 +$3 shipping). At the time of purchase, PCGS values this coin at $135.
