Simply Coins - So with all the coin replacing I've done, why not do better on this date? Well first of all it isn't easy to find an affordable and attractive 51-S Lincoln. Second, I haven't found a better one that isn't hundreds of dollars! Third? It has sort of become a point of honor with me that this lowly graded coin is the one. For a 65 it has a great surface. The reason it isn't a 66 is probably the big fat spot on the reverse rim. Splat! Still, this flaw is on the back and you don't see it right away so at least for now, this remains the 51-S in my collection. 12/16 NZJ

The 1951-S Lincoln Cent is common up to MS66 condition. In MS67 it becomes much scarcer. Examples grading above MS67 are scarce overall but with enough searching, examples in this condition can be found.
