The 1953-P Franklin Half Dollar has the second lowest mintage in the series. Only the 1955-P has a lower mintage. In circulated grades it seems to be somewhat common. In Uncirculated grades it becomes a little scarcer than the more common coins in the series but yet still easily obtainable. In MS66 condition it is scarce with about 150 examples in existence more or less, with none being finer.
