VERY PQ coin, nearly mark free obverse, mark free reverse. It's been a VERY long time since one of these coins was offered for sale in this high grade. Pretty pastel toning on both sides makes this coin even more desirable whether the collector likes bright white coins or toned coins. I have researched all of the present and retired Kennedy sets and I only found a single set that had this coin in the MS 67 grade. Is it that rare, or have people resubmitted the other MS 67 coins in hopes that they could get an upgrade? Or, did they break them out of the holder and resubmit them raw in hopes of an upgrade? Only PCGS may know? I for one DO have the real deal, a TRUE MS 67 1971-P Kennedy half dollar! This coin is the plate coin for the 1971-P Kennedy in Coinfacts!

This is the first year that the Kennedy Half Dollar was struck in Copper Nickel Clad, as the Mint completely removed the silver composition from Kennedy Half Dollars this year.

The 1971-P Kennedy Half Dollar is common in most grades up to MS64 condition. In MS65, they become a bit difficult to find. In MS66 gcondition they are now scarce with possibly 200 or less examples surviving in this grade. In MS67, they are very scarce with less than 10 examples known and none being higher.
