This high color monster is overall bright brassy gold on the obverse with highlights of Serpentine Gold, Steel Blue, Moss Green, Mauve, Periwinkle Blue, Dusty Rose, Lemon Yellow, Tangerine, Amber, Lavender, Lizard Green and Forest Green. The reverse is a spectacle of Brassy Gold mottled with Hot Pink, Lavender, Cerulean Blue, Moss Green, Sky Blue, Amber and Dusty Rose. Possible Full Steps?

Over half a billion 1976-D Jefferson Nickels were struck, so the this issue is really common in circulated grades. In uncirculated grades it is very scarce in MS66 condition or higher. Especially in MS66 Full Steps it is very difficult to find. Surprisingly, examples grading higher than MS66 or MS66 Full Steps are very rare or possibly even non-existent. A very tough issue in high grades to say the least.
