The 1978-P circulation strike Roosevelt Dime is extremely underrated. As of 2011, there are no examples known displaying Full Bands details on the reverse of the coin. More than likely, the coins from this issue were struck from worn dies. Over a mintage of 660 million coins struck, no one has ever reported one example with Full Bands details.

In uncirculated grades of MS66 and higher it is also considered quite scarce, as less than 100 examples have surfaced that grade MS66 or higher. In MS67 condition there are less than 50 examples known. In MS68 condition there are only two examples known for this issue, with none being higher. Definitely a very underrated coin in the modern Roosevelt Dime series.
