1984 Bhutan 100 Ngultrums - Decade of Women PR70DCAM { PCGS-5 }. Women are shown working in a field, this coin was issued as part of the UN initiative promoting the Decade of Women. The US commemorative program was just getting started at the time and didn't get around to commemorating women in the workplace until 1994 with the "Women in the Military" silver dollar. The national emblem appears on the flip-side. The mintage is 1,050. The mint mark "CHI" in a circle (found to the right of "100") is for a mint at Chiasso, located in Ticino, Switzerland. This Swiss mint made many of the "DECADE FOR WOMEN" UN inspired coins.
