The 2000-D Virginia Quarter was officially released by the U.S. Mint on October 16, 2000. It was also the tenth coin issued in the State Quarters Program. Examples in MS66 condition or lower were fairly easy to find or buy. In MS67 condition they were much harder to find but hundreds if not thousands of examples exist, that prices are very reasonable and just about anyone can afford them in this condition. In MS68 condition they are very difficult to obtain as few examples have been found in this condition or higher.
