The $10 - 2009-W Uncirculated Julia Tyler Spouse Coin is the eleventh coin issued in the Spouse Coin Program. The Tyler Spouse coin is also the third Spouse coin design issued in 2009.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts Julia Tyler. It also has the inscriptions, JULIA TYLER, IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY 2009, 10th 1844-1845. Note - It has 10th even though its the elenth coin to be issued. The reason is because former President John Tyler, remarried after his first wife Letitia Tyler passed away during his office. Former President Tyler was 54 years old when he married Julia Tyler who was only 24 years old.

Reverse: The reverse of te coin depcits former president John Tyler and former first Spouse Julia Tyler dancing at the 1843 Washington Ball, where John Tyler porposed to Julia. The reverse of the coin also has the incriptions, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM $0 1/2 OZ. .9999 FINE GOLD.

Issue Date: The $10 Julia Tyler Uncirculated Spouse coin officially went on sale on August 06, 2009. The price of the coins were set at $616 each.

Authorized Mintage: The maximum authorized mintage for the $10 Julia Tyler Gold Spouse coins was set at 40,000 coins between both the ucirculated and proof versions.
