The 2010 Milliard Fillmore coins were officially issued by the U.S. Mint on February 18, 2010. Milliard Fillmore, was the 13th President of the United States of America. Fillmore was President from 1850-1853.

The coins were officially released by the U.S. Mint at 10:00 a.m. (ET) in a ceremony held in Moravia Central School, in Moravia N.Y. Children ages 18 and younger in attendance, were presented with a free Fillmore Dollar. The public attending the ceremony was also allowed to exchange the new coins for face value.

Issue Price: The Mint was offering the coins in rolls of 25 coins each, either from the Philadelphia or Denver Mint at a price of $35.95 for each roll. The coins were sold through the U.S. Mint web site, as well as being sold at the ceremony which took place in Moravia, New York.


Presidential Dollar Coin Cover: The Mint also offered a Millard Fillmore Presidential Coin Cover. The Fillmore Presidential Dollar Coin Cover had a limited edition of 32,000 sets being sold. Each set consisted of two - Uncirculated 2010 Fillmore Presidential Dollars. One was produced at the Philadelphia Mint and the second at the Denver Mint.

Both coins were struck on the first day of production and placed in a cardboard holder with a color depiction of Fillmore. The set also had a 44 cent Flag postage stamp. The cover of each set was also stamped with the date Feb. 18, 2010, which is the first day in which the Fillmore Dollar coins were issued. The sets were priced at $15.95 each directly from the U.S. Mint.
