Obverse: The obverse of the coin was designed by Phebe Hemphill, it illustrates an image of Mary Todd Lincoln. It has the inscriptions, MARRY TODD LINCOLN, arched towards the top portion of the coin. It also has the motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, the inscriptions, LIBERTY, 2010-W, 16^th 1861-1865, or the years in which Abraham Lincoln served as U.S. President.

 

Reverse: The reverse was designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill. The reverse illustrates Mary Lincoln giving flowers to wounded soldiers while holding a book in her hand. The reverse also has the inscriptions, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, $10 ½, OZ., .999 FINE GOLD, encircled around the design of the coin.

 

Issue Date: The 2010-W Uncirculated Mary Todd Spouse coin went on sale at the U.S. Mint web site on December 02, 2010 12:00 p.m (Noon E.T.)

 

Issue Price: The price of each 2010-W Uncirculated Martha Lincoln Spouse coin was priced at $841. if purchased directly from the U.S. Mint.

 

First Strike: Coins submitted to PCGS within the firs 30 days from the release date qualified to receive a special First Strike designation on the label of the PCGS coin holder.
