The 2011-P 9/11 National Medals were produced to commemorate the events of September 11, 2001. The Medals were struck 10 years after September 11, 2001. The Mint struck two different Medals in proof format, the only difference is that some were struck at the Philadelphia Mint while others at the West Point Mint. Both Medals can be differentiated by the P or W mint mark. The same price procedures and specifications applied to both Medals.
