The 2015 Reverse Proof Kennedy Presidential Dollar could have only been obtained directly from the U.S. Mint, if customers purchased the 2015 John F. Kennedy Coin and Chronicles Set. The 2015 John F. Kennedy Coin and Chronicles Set was first offered by the U.S. Mint on September 16, 2015.

Each set contained a Reverse Proof Kennedy Presidential Dollar, a one ounce Kennedy Silver Medal and a 5 cent 1964 Kennedy postage stamp. The 2015 John F. Kennedy Coin and Chronicles Set had an issue price of 57.95 and each set also had a maximum set mintage of 50,000. Most coins came in  great quality ranging from PR69-PR70 condition.
