This is the first $100 Gold coin issued by the U.S. Mint. The coins were officially issued on July 30, 2015. The initial issue price was set at $1,490. each. It's maximum authorized mintage was 50,000. The coins came well struck overall. Some coins even displayed a prooflike finish, although they are much scarcer than the non prooflike coins.
