2017 Cameroon 500 Franc CFA PR70DCAM { PCGS-5 }. Madame Marie Curie was the first person to win two Nobel Prizes (one for chemistry and one for physics). This coin shows her in front of a plutonium atom (which she and her husband discovered). The electrons are colored in the pale lime green glow of plutonium. It represents their contribution to chemistry; and also its radiation their work in physics. Her husband insisted that her contributions be recognized in the rather chauvinistic world of science at the start of the twentieth century. The reverse is a sun-burst with cartwheeling luster. The coin is one of 500 minted. This is one of 8 non-USA coins I acquired for this set pre-graded in a PCGS holder.
