Queen Victoria looks left in the large gear at the top facing the denomination. Other gears note key moments from the steamship, penny farthing, locomotive engine, and telephone. This is the larger 2-ounce sterling silver Piedfort issue flawlessly depicting the many intermeshing gears with a total mintage of 1,500. On the obverse is QE2, the only monarch to surpass the length of Queen Victoria’s reign.
