2021-CM Niue $1 Lancelot and Guinevere PR70DCAM { PCGS-5 }. Fairytale ending as Lancelot carries Guinevere off on his horse as they ride away from Maleagant's castle, which looms behind them. Just 1,000 pieces were struck for this South Pacific island. CM is for the Czech Mint (Česká mincovna), Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic (1993-date). The mint mark appears following the date. Queen Elizabeth II appears in small effigy surrounded by the shields of the 12 Knights of the Round Table. The top-most shield, with the 3 crowns, is that of King Arthur. Going clockwise from there are the shields of Sir Lancelot, Sir Perceval, Sir Degore, Sir Bedivere, Sir Kay, Sir Galahad, Sir Bohor, Sir Gauvan, Sir Tristan, Sir Brunor and Sir Hector. There are many much larger silver coins featuring Guinevere; but this gem offers open fields and an elegant design that uses the highly frosted devices to yield great eye appeal and leave a lasting impression. Finally, this is another QE2 "two-fer" that could also be used in her majesty's spot.
