A three quarter portrait of a man dressed in 18th century garb, presumably William Rusher (the issuer). Rusher was a Banbury merchant selling books, hats, and writing materials as the obverse Legend states. A handsome design with choice smooth hard fields. / Rev. The spectacular sun design is an artist's rendition of the coat of arms of Banbury. The reverse Legend "DEUS. EST. NOBIS. SOL. ET.
