Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the death of Evita Peron, this silver proof shows her profile with cheering crowds praising Evita with the sunrise in the background. Mintage was 5,000 for proof for this flat design. Typical for these silver proofs, die-polishing lines can be found in the fields, particularly on the reverse of this specimen which tends to preclude perfection from PCGS. The 2 Peso copper-nickel coin is easier to find, but nice silver specimens are still available; but you might need to get them from Argentina. The coin shows "2002" for the anniversary of her death, but the coin was actually minted in 2004; but if you're looking to find one of these gems you better stick with "2002".
