The piece really is all that. Luster is out of this world and bands of rose, blue and gold are all there. This is the type of piece that takes your set to the next level
Cherry picked out of Heritage Auction as a straight 65, got the attribution and the +.
Images don't capture stunning neon green, pink and oranges. Easy to look past spots and hits

Obverse color is off the charts. This replaces a 65 I had in this slot previously. As a fellow collector said "how can this be seven points from perfection"

Absolutely booming luster, thought it, along with great color and eye appeal and well above average strike, might be enough to push it to 65. Alas, there is the spot above the buff and a hit not readily evident in image that held it back. Just a stunning piece for the grade - luster looks 66 all day
Bought as a 64 and resided as an album coin for a number of years, the upgrade to 65 is one of the bigger value upgrades I have had
Awesome obverse color, lucked out with crummy auction photos. Crossed from NCG and previously stickered by CAC
Truview doesn't capture this is hands down full strike. Was hoping for a + or a 62
Awesome strike and die state that did not come cheap, this appears to still be the highest priced auction price for NGC piece. Crossed in 2015
Purchased in an NGC holder, cracked and submitted raw, I thought this was a lock upgrade. Super solid strike, a total luster bomb with rich gold toning, not sure what there is not to like. There is a die crack that runs from the front hind leg to the hump, but did not think that should impact grade
Cherry Picked out of a Stacks auction as a 64, got the attribution and a bump to 65
Cherry Picked out of Teletrade auction, grade stayed the same on regarde, but a big time piece nonetheless
Long considered to the most undergraded pieces in my set. Still think this one could go 65 today

A true WOW piece that adds a lot to the collection. Peripheral toning of orange is much more vivid than the True View reflects, the coin much brighter as well. Beautiful blue toning on the central portions of the coin. A stunningly appealing piece for a date in mint mark that is very difficult to find anything approaching Eye appeal.
A long time piece of the set, the only time I've considered upgrading is when the Angel Dee's set went for auction at Legends. It was the one piece in that auction I could afford and was a beast to boot. I recall being outbid pretty early on. The piece at hand was acquired when my primary interest was strike, but also has some wonderful color highlights as shown.
The great strike is apparent from the image. The attractive bluish/rose toing, less so. Not sure it has the blast to go 64, but one heck of a nice coin for the grade. Never given any thought to trying to upgrade this one. Remember the buy well, one of first pieces I saw at Annandale show that day, and was an easy decision to spend the entire budget after minutes at the show.

Crossed from an NGC 64, it displaces a 65. If anything Truview shortsells luster and color. Just a stunning piece and finally lays to rest the search for this date
Once you get past the color, check out the double or tripling on the obverse profile. Kinda neat to have a POP 1 coin as of 2015
An awesome strike and a great die state. Wonderful Amber to orange hues in the fields. Heavy polishing on the neck is well. Truly a unique piece I am happy to own

One of those, 'how did this stay on the market as long as it did' moments that was very easy to open up wallet for. A bit of drama, I saw the piece on dealer inventory while all physical inventory was at FUN 2020, it wasn't for a couple of days until I knew for sure it wasn't already sold. Great color that is entirely up my ally for toning type, I really don't see any further upgrades to this date.
Awesome strike and die state rarely seen on this issue. Originally purchased PCGS58, made raw for an album, and resubmitted a decade later, it came back 55 this time around. A great piece regardless of current numeric grade.
Nice die state and strike on this one, and I thought the luster (not fully captured in Truview) might get it to AU. Not meant to be, as there is XF type wear and hits on the piece. Still, probably the best I will be able to manage for the foreseeable future
Full strike any way you cut it. Was hoping for the two feather designation but no luck.
Awesome purple, gold and copper toning on obverse with a standout stike and super clean surfaces. Trueview doesn't really do this one justice. Found this beauty at the earlier part of my buffalo journey and had no reason to look back. Lived raw in an album for many years and was submitted in 2017, coming back at the same grade as purchased.

Purchased NGC65 with original intent to put into capital plastics short set
Real blazer with great contrast and color. Lavender on reverse is even more prominent in hand.
Purchased raw for $5. Originally saw it as a flip, but once in hand it became a keeper
My first 67, had never been a proponent of paying next grade for minute difference, but on this one it is clear what you are paying for.
