Buffalo Nickels Two Feathers Complete Variety Set, Circulation Strikes (1913-1930)

Excessive Die Polishing resulted in the effective loss of the small third feather immediately behind the neck of the Indian on the obverse. Apparently this was a fairly common issue, as the Cherrypicker's Guide has identified fifteen different dates and mints between 1913 and 1930 where this has been observed. These are typically assigned the FS number of 401. While none are prohibitively rare, the 1921-S and the 1917-S will be the toughest to acquire, particularly in high grade.
