This piece was part of the 'virtual dream set' I assembled before undertaking this project, to see if it was even viable. Image from HA, I was thrilled to get 2nd bite at the apple when it became available on EBay.

While not a perfect match for the rest of the toned set, I'd come to the conclusion that I might never find this particular date with matching color. In fact it seemed hard enough to find anything approaching eye appeal for my target grade and price range. What this piece DOES have, relative to its peers and for the price, is an awesome strike. Check out the details across all the stars, the detail in the bun and hair line and the definition in the ear of corn

Pickup from the Fall 2018 Baltimore show, I felt the warm glow of a purchase well done for a good period after. Reverse image speaks for itself. Obverse is a good bit more lusterous. If not for the blemishes on lady liberty's face, it was a consensus 66. Can't imagine a need to upgrade this example

Fell in love with powder blue and rose/gold contrast as soon as I saw it. Great luster too. Purchased from Crabtree at one of the Baltimore shows. Always loved his stuff, although it is typically higher grade than mine means. Glad I could acquire then one so he doesn't think I perpetually kick the tires.
