2022 $25 Gold Eagle First Day of Issue MS70 PCGS #896351

Seller states: "This 2022 $25 Gold American Eagle is graded a perfect MS70 by PCGS and is a First Day of Issue. Obverse: Adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ famed Gold Double Eagle design, which features Lady Liberty with flowing hair, a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Reverse: Designed by Jennie Norris, the reverse features a beautiful, close-up portrait of an eagle. This design is the first new design introduced since the series began in 1986." This auction began @ 4:50:03 pm PDT on the 23rd of October 2022 with an opening bid of $995.00. This auction had 2 bidders make 2 bids. The other bidder bid first @ 4:45:26 am PDT on the 28th of October 2022 with a bid to match the open @ $995.00. I had looked at another of the same coin offered by this same dealer that was a Buy it Now auction @ $1089.00 that took offers. On the 25th of October @ 13:04:08 PDT, I offered $950.00 on that coin, and shortly after I received a counteroffer of $980.00. I thought I would accept that offer but choose to wait until the next day. When I looked to accept that offer, I discovered that it was no longer available because someone else had purchased it. I was upset at myself and decided to probe some other dealers I did business with to see if they could come close to the $980.00 price. Liberty Coin would not. When I discovered this auction, I decided I would go after it. I bid the price that Liberty Coin offered theirs at and would not come any lower than $1136.36. I did bid this @ 4:49:57 pm PDT on the 30th of October 2022 and the auction ended @ 4:50 pm PDT on the 30th of October 2022.
