1921 $1 High Relief, Peace MS65 PCGS #7356

The strike is very good on this coin, but the main reason I acquired this coin was its matte finish, as it exemplifies what a medal should look like, IMO.

1922 $1 MS65 PCGS #7357

white, did I say white....

1922-D $1 MS65 PCGS #7358

Blast white, no spots or distractions IMO, eye appealing.

1922-S $1 MS64 PCGS #7359

Funny, bought off eBay as an AU. Very nice surfaces and just a mild patina over blast silver surfaces

1922-S $1 MS64 PCGS #7359

1923 $1 MS66+ PCGS #7360

Not the typical 23; no booming luster. This coin struck up with a more mirrored surface, I call it gentlemen's 23 ;)

Obverse makes this coin with beautiful evenly placed luster and nice mint bloom near Liberty's forehead. Obverse shows light die breaks and some luster breaks and cheek is exceptionally clean. Reverse is well..., solid.

1923-S $1 MS64+ PCGS #7362

Reverse strike a bit weak, but obverse makes up for it.

1924 $1 MS66 PCGS #7363

Lucked into this one, originally in an older NGC holder. Looks high relief, especially the obverse, maybe first strikes or test strike? Absolutely zero orange peel, surfaces are silky smooth, nice rims. Kinda baffling and almost impossible when compared to regular MS peace dollars.

1925 $1 MS65 PCGS #7365

This is one of my favorites of the set, just a beautiful satiny colorful glowing patina. Encased in an OGH.

1925-S $1 MS64+ PCGS #7366

Obverse strike is exceptional, but well, the reverse is typical... From the Larry Shepherd Collection (thx Mr. Shepherd) and L Shapiro, and PCGS for that matter for hosting long beach....

1926-D $1 MS64 PCGS #7368

Raw from the Missourian back when I started this collection in 06. Has a mild hazy patina more noticeable on the reverse.

My irish charm, superfluous luster, just beams.... gotta love those old NGC slabs ;)

1927-D $1 MS64 PCGS #7371

Nice original surfaces with a relatively think layer of old frosty skin. Been complemented on this one before when seen in hand.

1928 $1 MS64+ PCGS #7373

Coin is impressive with surprisingly good luster for a 28P. Hard to find these with good luster. Seems like from 27 to the end of the series, the P mint wanted a more subdued surface than a lustrous one.

1928-S $1 MS64 PCGS #7374

I think this coin has toned up even a bit more since I acquired it in 2010. This is one of the reasons I shy away from toned coins, because if you don't stabilize and preserve them, the toning will eventually turn black. Might take 100 years, but it'll happen.

Beautiful, near flawless white coin. Decent strike with super clean fields, check and reverse.
