CAC - "Bass-Dannreuther Die State c/b, the later die state, showing a linear engraver's mark connecting the E in UNITED to the dentils. The fields are uniformly semiprooflike, and the devices show even definition that lacks sharpness only on the eagle's right (facing) leg. The fields clearly have a bold, lustrous flash as you rotate the coin in a light source. The richness of the color comes out as the surfaces gleam. "Boldly reflective, nearly fully Prooflike mint brilliance..... vivid golden surfaces with swirling cartwheels that sweep across the generally smooth, clean surfaces when rotated in a light; head on, the reflective flash overpowers the more satiny brilliance.
