Barber Quarters Date Set, Circulation Strikes (1892-1916)

One of the advantages of building a Date Set is that you can usually avoid extreme rarities. In any given year, at least one of the mints typically produced enough coins to yield a sufficient supply today. The 25-piece Barber Quarter Date set is a perfect example of this, as such rarities as the 1896-S, 1901-S and 1913-S can be bypassed in favor of their P, O or D mint alternatives. Despite having no real "stoppers," assembling this set in high grade is not easy, and a look at the All Time Finest sets illustrates the keen competition for the top spots.
