Gold Commemoratives 11 Piece Set, Circulation Strikes (1903-1926)

While the complete classic gold commemorative set includes nine gold dollars, two quarter eagles, and two Pan-Pac $50 gold pieces, because of the prohibitive cost of the $50 pieces, the set is usually collected as an 11-piece set comprising the smaller issues. The two Lewis & Clark gold dollars and the Sesqui $2 1/2 are usually the toughest coins to find in gem (MS65/better) condition. This series has proved to be extremely popular with collectors, as it is one of the few gold series that can be completed in gem condition. Competition on the Registry is intense, with about ten sets boasting ratings between MS-65 and MS-67.
