Wondercoin's (M&J) Collection

关于此套币: I started this collection with my son Justin when he was just a boy (he is now a senior in college). Justin and I reviewed thousands of specimens to select the coins to go into this collection. We both enjoy searching for deep prooflike specimens, which are seldom encountered on many of the coins in this set. The MS70's in this collection are truly PERFECT COINS! Originally, our goal was to also try to build this set into the #1 position in the registry through all of our hard work and perseverance. We were well on our way to that goal recently when we purchased the one and only 1982-D George Washington Half Dollar in "perfect" PCGS-MS70 (and at a great price too). Unfortunately, the coin was not a true MS70 in our view and we did not hesitate for one minute in our decision to bring it back to PCGS so they could remove it from the MS70 holder (which they did and we asked nothing from PCGS in the process although they sent us a check for our actual cost of the coin). But, it was the right thing to do in our book. So, as of this writing, there are, once again, -649- graded MS69's of the GW Half Dollar with none graded higher and there may possibly never be a true MS70 ever found of that coin (at least to our standards). Our quest for "the" top set ended with downgrading that GW Half, but we are still very proud of the wonderful set of coins we built here together on this father/son project.
